The Barangay Integrated Development Approach for Nutrition Improvement (BIDANI) Program. It is a community-based development program that focuses on improving the nutrition and well-being of people. It is implemented by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in partnership with local government units to combat malnutrition, poverty, and other development problems at the community level.
BIDANI is a strategy that enhances and supplements the implementation of government programs in essential social services. This Program comprises three interrelated and interdependent projects. Barangay Integrated Development Approach BIDA is a strategy for effective and efficient local development planning and management. Barangay Management Information System BMIS is an information system for gathering and organizing data about the barangay that promotes evidence-based planning and implementation. Participative Nutrition Enhancement Approach PNEA is a nutrition enhancement program that rehabilitates and prevents malnutrition among children and encourages family nutrition. The program highlights include the legitimization of BIDANI in the University and the allocation of human, material, and financial resources by the LGU. The BIDANI is an LGU-led strategy in collaboration with other partners to ensure a healthy community operationalized through organizing, training, technical backstopping, advocacy, linkages with NGOs and POs, and resource generation.
